The Relationship

LIMB has partnered with WBENC since 2006, first through a third-party engagement and later as a direct creative and strategic partner. As both a certified women-owned business and longtime collaborator, LIMB brought a unique combination of creative expertise, organizational understanding, and lived alignment with WBENC’s mission.

Over nearly two decades, the relationship evolved from project-based support into an ongoing partnership spanning conferences, annual reports, educational initiatives, regional partner organizations, environmental graphics, digital experiences, and broader brand strategy. Throughout that evolution, LIMB helped WBENC maintain consistency, strengthen visibility, and scale its identity across a growing national network.

Our Role Over Time

LIMB supported WBENC across a broad range of initiatives and touchpoints, serving as an extension of the organization’s marketing and communications efforts. Our work included conference branding, annual reports, educational initiative brands, environmental graphics, campaign materials, organizational communications, website experiences, and branded systems supporting both national and regional audiences.

Over time, the role expanded from creative execution into strategic brand stewardship across an increasingly complex organizational ecosystem.

Collaboration at Scale

LIMB worked closely with WBENC leadership, internal marketing and events teams, conference partners, fabricators, and all 14 Regional Partner Organizations nationwide. The work required balancing national consistency with regional flexibility while coordinating across multiple stakeholders, timelines, vendors, and implementation environments.

This collaborative structure allowed WBENC’s national brand to remain cohesive while giving regional organizations space to reflect their own communities and priorities.

Strategy

Systems Thinking

One of LIMB’s most significant contributions was helping WBENC create a scalable brand system capable of supporting years of organizational growth and evolving needs.

The identity framework was intentionally designed as a branded house system, allowing conferences, initiatives, and Regional Partner Organizations to maintain distinct personalities while remaining clearly connected to the larger WBENC brand. Flexible visual systems, typography, color palettes, and implementation standards created consistency across publications, events, digital platforms, and campaign materials without becoming restrictive.

Design

Evolving with the Brand

As WBENC expanded its internal capabilities and organizational reach, LIMB continued adapting its role to support changing priorities, structures, and levels of engagement. Some years focused heavily on large-scale conference branding and environmental experiences. Others centered on annual reports, initiative launches, website support, or broader strategic creative guidance.

The partnership remained intentionally flexible, allowing LIMB to provide both high-level brand thinking and practical creative execution as WBENC’s needs evolved over time.

Digital

Outcome / Impact

LIMB helped WBENC build a more unified and scalable national brand presence across conferences, publications, digital experiences, and regional organizations. The long-term partnership created continuity, institutional knowledge, and flexible creative systems capable of supporting organizational growth while preserving regional individuality and authenticity.
